For truck dispatchers

Truck dispatch software that follows the load from booking to invoice

Most dispatchers type the same load three or four times: in a spreadsheet, in a text to the driver, on the invoice and again in the books. LaneTally is dispatcher software where you book the load once and the rest follows.

LaneTally is in beta. The demo uses example data, and anything you type in it stays in your browser. Join the waiting list — founding members get early access. Items marked Coming at launch are not working yet.

What truck dispatch software should do for you

A dispatcher's day is phone calls, rate confirmations, driver updates and paperwork. Good dispatch software does not add more screens to that day. It takes away the typing you do twice and shows you what needs attention before a broker or a carrier has to call you.

LaneTally was built around one idea: one load, four people. You, the carrier owner and the driver all look at the same load, and the broker gets the invoice from it. When the driver marks a stop, you see it and the owner sees it. A tracking link for the broker comes at launch.

From the load board to the invoice, in one workflow

You keep finding loads where you find them today. Then the work moves into LaneTally:

  1. Check the offer. The New load form says "Worth it" or "Too low" using the carrier's cost per mile, the smallest profit per mile the carrier accepts, your fee and the carrier's factoring fee. The math is done by LaneTally, not guessed.
  2. Book it. You type the load in once. A booked load shows up on the driver's phone right away, with the stops and your notes. Loads that are not booked yet stay hidden from drivers. Reading the rate confirmation for you with AI is Coming at launch.
  3. The driver runs it. The driver taps "I arrived" and "I delivered the load", and takes a photo of the BOL. The times are saved and the office sees them. The driver app video shows every screen on the driver's phone.
  4. Invoice the broker. The freight invoice is made from the load, one invoice per load, with a ready checklist that tells you when it can go out. Home flags an invoice that was not sent a day after delivery.
  5. Get paid for your work. Every delivered load adds your fee to that carrier's weekly fee invoice, Monday to Sunday.

The Fleet page: every truck on one screen

The Fleet page lists each truck with its driver, its load, its next stop and whether it is late or on time. Late loads come first, then trucks on the road. A truck with no load shows "No load — available" with a New load button, so empty trucks do not sit unnoticed.

Drivers also have an On duty switch, and you get a warning before you book a load for a driver who is off duty. Live GPS truck location from the phone app is Coming at launch; today the screen shows the last stop each driver marked.

A live feed and one list of what needs you

The Live window on your Home lists what just happened: arrived, delivered, BOL sent, receipt sent, payment recorded. Tap a line to open that load or invoice.

Under it, "Needs your attention" puts everything urgent in one list, most urgent first: late deliveries, pickups not started, missing rate confirmations, deliveries with no proof of delivery, overdue invoices, detention that started and renewals coming up. It only points things out. You decide what to do. Email and text alerts are Coming at launch.

Chat with drivers, in the same place as the load

Each carrier has a group chat for everyone, plus private chats. The owner never sees your private chat with a driver, and drivers never see each other's private chats. A message can be tied to a load ("About LB-1041"), so the conversation stays next to the work. One-tap message translation is Coming at launch.

Carrier management that keeps carriers with you

  • Your fee per carrier, and a weekly fee invoice for each one that fills in by itself.
  • A carrier package link (coming at launch): one private link with what a broker asks for. It works for 30 days, can be turned off, shows when the broker opened it and warns you if a paper is missing or expired.
  • Renewals: insurance, CDLs, medical cards, permits and more, with a warning 30 days before.
  • A broker list with Approved, Watch and Do not book. A broker gets "Watch (late payer)" by itself while any of its invoices is 30 or more days past due.
  • Their books and driver pay, if the carrier turns on the switch that lets you do them. See trucking accounting software and driver pay and settlements.
  • IFTA miles and fuel by state for each carrier. See IFTA reporting.

Your own dispatch business, kept apart

The My business pages are only for you: your invoices, your pay with a tax set-aside, your own books, your profit and "What each carrier brings you", and your LLC papers with renewal warnings. No carrier money is shown there. If you are just getting started, read how to start a truck dispatch business.

What it costs

The dispatcher plan starts at $39 a month with 2 trucks included. Carriers that use a dispatcher on LaneTally, drivers and brokers never pay. All prices are on the home page.

Questions people ask

What is truck dispatch software?

It is a program dispatchers use to book loads, send them to drivers, track each stop, invoice brokers and keep carrier paperwork in one place, instead of spreadsheets and group texts.

Does LaneTally connect to load boards?

No. You find loads on the load board you use today, then enter the load once in LaneTally. From there it goes to the driver, the invoice, the pay and the books.

Do my carriers and drivers have to pay?

No. Carriers that use a dispatcher on LaneTally, drivers and brokers never pay. Only the dispatcher pays for the dispatcher plan.

Can I try it before it opens?

Yes. The demo shows the dispatcher, carrier owner and driver screens with example data. Anything you type stays in your own browser.

Are the dispatcher screens in Spanish?

No. The dispatcher screens are in English. The carrier owner and driver screens can be switched to Spanish.
